Why Intern With Us?

Are you a student looking to earn volunteer hours while contributing to a mission that empowers young people through civic education? At the Youth Civics Foundation, our internship program offers a meaningful opportunity to develop leadership skills, support educational outreach, and actively participate in the growth of a youth-led nonprofit.

Whether you're interested in teaching, communications, or event support, our interns play an essential role in making civics education more accessible for students across the country.

As an intern, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Earn certified volunteer hours that count toward school, service, or extracurricular requirements
  • Gain hands-on experience in civic education, leadership, and outreach
  • Work on real projects that support youth programming and community engagement
  • Receive guidance, resources, and mentorship from our leadership team
  • Make a lasting impact in your school, community, and beyond

Internship Application Form

Internship Requirements

To ensure a meaningful experience for both you and the communities we serve, we ask that all interns:

  • Be at least 14 years old
  • Commit to a minimum number of volunteer hours per month (flexible based on your availability)
  • Complete our civics training modules and become familiar with our curriculum
  • Be willing to support a range of tasks, which may include:
    • Teaching or assisting with youth civics sessions
    • Supporting social media, outreach, or digital communications
    • Helping local chapters with events or administrative tasks
  • Attend occasional virtual meetings or team check-ins
