What It Means To Start a Chapter
Are you passionate about civic engagement and eager to make a difference in your community?
By starting a local chapter, you’ll help us bring civic education to younger students while developing your leadership skills and making a real impact.
As a chapter leader, you’ll receive:
- A full starter guide and civic education resources
- Lesson plans, activities, and workshop templates
- Access to a national network of student leaders
- Recognition opportunities and potential support for local initiatives
- Ongoing mentorship and support from our team
Before You Apply
Requirements To Start a Chapter
We’re looking for responsible and motivated students who are ready to take initiative. To apply, you must:
- Be at least 14 years old
- Have a strong interest in civics, education, or leadership
- Complete our civics training modules and become familiar with our curriculum
- Be committed to hosting at least one activity or event each month
- Be willing to teach or mentor younger students (ages 8–13)
- Communicate regularly with our central team
- Submit a short monthly report on your chapter's activities
Chapters can be started at schools, libraries, community centers, or virtually. Whether you’re starting with a few friends or launching something bigger, we’re excited to support your journey.
